Homeopathy is a holistic medical system developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in the 19th century, based on the principle that “like cures like”. What that means in the consulting room is that we are as interested in the animal as we are in the illness.
That is why the first visit is a long one. We ask how she sleeps, what frightens her, whether she seeks out the sun or the shade, what changed in her when she fell ill. With all of that we formulate the treatment according to her physiological response and her specific symptoms, rather than a general diagnosis of the disease: we choose the homeopathic medicine that belongs to her and to no one else.
We look for a whole cure that addresses the underlying cause, safely and without toxic side effects. That makes it especially gentle in puppies, in very old patients, and in those who can no longer tolerate more drugs.
